But The Sea Has Never Been Poem by Shalom Freedman

But The Sea Has Never Been

I have come here many times through the years
But the sea has never been
As blue and as beautiful as today-

It seems to have forgotten
That it is winter
And the white clouds
Infused with sun
And the light blue sky
Surrounding them
Seem to say,

"Today is good day to be here
And anyone observing us
Is blessed. "
