But You Will I Promise Poem by Kayla Duf

But You Will I Promise

Rating: 5.0

What is love,
Why does it hurt so much,
It's not fair, nothing hurts as much,
Life itself has never hurt so much,
As you leaving me did,
I don't know why, but it did,
I think Love should have never been invented,
It hurts more than breaking every bone in your body,
You say you didn't want to get hurt again,
Well if you keep this up,
One day all you will feel is hurt and pain,
Because you will be all alone with no one there,
To help you, support you, comfort you,
And you'll have no one to blame yourself,
You may claim you pushed every one away,
Because you didn't want to get hurt again,
Well someone told me,
The only person responsible for your happiness,
Is well you, So think twice about every thought,
Think four times before every action,
Cause you never know whats gonna happen in the future,
And I know you know that, So be careful Shawty,
Cause one day you will regret this decision,
I don't know when, how, or why,
But You Will I Promise

You really 'gave' it to him! Such wisdom in this poem. Now it's up to him if he learns this life lesson...and even if he never 'gets' it, at least you know you have. 'So think twice about every thought, think four times before every action.' Very nicely written. Hugs, Cathy
