The comic will tell you
that timing is everything
but I think the concept is
out of our hands.
Timing can cause
the downfall of nations,
put an end to relations
and the best laid of plans;
timing can be
an opportune moment
or conversely, play to the
sum of our fears -
our being discovered
– flagrante delicto –
by someone who thought
they had known us for years
So…
Is timing used
as a dimensional toy
by beings who conjure,
align and deploy,
to aggravate and irritate
our poor human souls
to ensure that the toast is
butter-down when it falls?
