Butter Life Poem by Richard Webb

Butter Life

Butterflies fall through the air
Strawberries swim in cream
Both like a maiden fair
But I'm a lump of butter
And melt at signs of heat
You spread me on real think
So I trickle on your feet
How I hate my life as butter
I die underneath jam
I want to run and jump around
Not suffocate under ham
I might just be a fatty thing
Imagine how it'd be
If I were a big yellow boat
I'd melt into the sea
I despise my life as butter
And then you go eat me
In your tasty little sandwich
Which you made for your tea
You ended my life as butter
Thank you
