Buttercups 2013 Poem by Diana Rosser

Buttercups 2013

Rating: 3.5

Icy winds cut the chill
held the warmth of seasons
in an iron grip
thick jumpers hung around

breaking aureolin
finally pushed aside
the frigid sky
enveloped the mellow
mounds of hills
the forgotten road side curbs
the newly tended lawns
in shinning silken petal cups

that danced waves of
sunshine through
morning meadows
and fallow fields.
