Butterflies Will Fly Poem by Dorothy Thomas Snyder

Butterflies Will Fly

After the dark night of the soul,
The light will shine.
After a time of dormancy,
Life-giving energies
Of creation
Will once again begin.
After the chrysalis stage,
There's no escape;
No going back again
To being simply a caterpillar.
Those days are forever left behind.
After the dark nights
Come winged creatures.
Butterflies will fly.
