I met a lady, few years from now
She was as pure as honey, like when
She smiles so sweet and so much caring...
So much silence yet passionate enough!
When she talks to smile to me every time
It’s like the gorgeous butterflies around’
On air, flies to spread rainbow’s on me.

We fell in love: I called her ‘Butterfly’
We called each other with the same; ‘Butterfly’
Truly, she was one of a kind to me
Lucky me, that came to flies around me
And shared a colorful love with me
Like the real butterflies does in life!

I wonder! Why butterflies flies away always...
I wish I’m not sleep walking and talking?
That I’m seeing this one I had too was,
Flying away from me, I wish only
If they were not meant to fly away this way
Oh! Where do they go away...?
But, Butterfly why you have to go...
Sometimes, I wish that I could
Hold you so tight never letting go,
How could death be so cruel?

Neither, I blame you for this short life...
Or the death that had taken you from me,
But, if I knew or could do something, I wish...
My friends came up to me one night saying,
“Your Butterfly has gone forever-
She is no more belong in this world”
All I could do was hear from them, you’re gone...

I hated myself, not being there for you...
But how could time has so unknown?
That the shortest moment we were away;
The time not being one, out of reach...
It took you for you to go away that far?
I feel my heart fell on the ground;
That a rock has crushed it apart yet,
But no! The grievances and the pains
Could not be taken apart from me...
That how hard it is to see someone gone,
The one that I call butterfly, forever gone...
My soul cries still; when butterflies come
Flying across my vision, but Butterfly,
Why butterflies do always flies away...

I could never find out why, perhaps!
But when I see one on the air flying by
I feel that you’re close to me
And your love still so alive that,
Here! Deep in my heart; always in my soul
I love and missed you... Butterfly!
