Butterfly Wings Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Butterfly Wings

Princess I don't say much
But I miss you
Know that I do
and our coffee for two

It didn't seem to mean much
In the scheme of things
But when I see your name
it still stings

I wish that we had been kinder
And that we didn't cut our stings
But when I recall you it's the quiet moments
The ones with the butterfly wings

So think kindly of me
As I think kindly of you
I recall fondly the moments spent
peacefully sharing, just us two
