By The Window Sill Poem by Rambling Dreamer

By The Window Sill

She sat silently by her window sill and stared out onto the busy jostling traffic on the road.
The thoughts in her mind,
The raging conflict of emotions in her heart,
All in a similar jumble.
Her entire life she's been busy,
Surrounded by people she loves,
By people she thought loved her too...
People who promised forever but never stuck around,
People she drove away,
People who betrayed her,
People who made her strong.
Life was good,
Always in a hustle n bustle...
She loved the noise,
She loved the constant flux.
Never left to her own devices.
The silence was a stranger to her.
She wasn't comfortable with it..
Now that life was turning downhill,
Silence was her only companion
And it never abandoned her.
So after a while she grew to like the silence.
It's only in the silence,
She learnt how to be her own friend,
She learnt how to love herself.
For it's only in the resounding silence,
She could to her heart speak ever so clearly.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
we all got to learn that in order to love others we have to first learn to love ourselves, in order to make peace with others we have to make peace with out own conscience :)
