By Your Side
Here I am,
By your side,
Holding on,
For the ride.
It was such a high,
A drug to fly.
Yet now I dive,
A loss of life,
Ready to die.
You were a knife in the back,
You were a pain I felt.
Nothing but a witch,
Nothing but a pain in my heart.
You were nothing but a migrain,
All you were good for was a heart ache.
All you are is a two bit witch,
Get out,
Never come back,
I never want to see,
That face again.
Your worthless to me,
The pain you gave,
Was to unbearable.
This is a very emotional poem. I like the rhyme scheme, it's quite effective!
so beautiful and touching i feel like dis now love it
The thought structure jumps around a lot, giving a feel of disjointed emotion/inability to fully express depth of said emotions. I don't know if this was the intended purpose, but it works well for this poem.
Interesting Beatnik style! I assume you mean 'Was too unbearable' in the last line?
