Caged Poem by Shijo Jose

Caged

Let a dream break free
Birds fly into the wind
Let hearts sing their song
Its time to grow wings

A violinist cradles his strings
Entrancing fingers dancing a chord
Drowning an audience in silence
The sweet orchestra of vibrations

The writer pens a page
Adding life to empty space
Page made magically elegantly
Little lines making masterpieces

Decorate old sorrow woth smiles
Better mould the life forthcoming
Bid a goodbye to fears
Make the life once dreamed

Make a riot of destiny
Let thought control each action
Rewrite future yet to come
Flutter high above the skies

Bold strokes painting a dream
Artists on canvas left unchained
Imagination made real with paint
A garden of colors inspiring

Become a potter of fate
Wisdom shaping every deed performed
Scrap made useful with optimism
Live the life once dreamed

Expand wings long forgotten
Poised magnificence withheld
Buried in graveyards of skin
Let go and take flight
