Caged Words? Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Caged Words?

Reposeful the words flow from my pen
Impounded and confined they recline
Restrained and imprisoned
Between empty lines

From whence they came
Boundaries formed
Stumbling over minds eye
Waiting too perform

The curtain rises, as minds eye opens
Now to pen and pen to page
Between these lines are they freed?
Or are they caged?

It's very obvious that where the lips is imprisoned, the pen is freed. In this poem, you must be so inspired.

I would say they are freed; for all to read. I especially like this line, 'The curtain rises, as minds eye opens...'
