California Poem by Michael Walker

California

Rating: 5.0

The tide is rising with the setting sun
Over the golden coasts of centuries,
But no one knows who's lost and who has won
Indigenous indigents' penuries.

California, have you come to heal
My soul, the land of honey to reveal?

The sodomites are streaking through the streets
To flee the fires that burn the effigies
Of every hero whose stout heart still beats
To free us from the devil's vestiges.

California, what have you done to me
That yours should be the only sea I see?

The angels smile upon the pure of heart
Who walk along the water in the sand,
For nothing can tear anyone apart
Who knows that Jesus holds us in His Hand.

California, nobody can steal
The love for you that I will always feel.

California, what have you done to me That yours should be the only sea I see? California, nobody can steal The love for you that I will always feel.... //.... There must be something special in California which attracts you like a magnet and you cherish the place for its uniqueness. Nice description. Thanks. By the way, today is the American Independence Day.
