Call For Clarity

A simple word or an ill-phrased thought
earns a long incoherent rant
for violating some rule or other
that is implicit and unreasoned
based on misunderstanding
like playing tennis without a net
Tread softly is the message
from writers barely conversant
with the language they use
but one does his best
never mind the hysteria
rampant in others
