Camouflage Poem by Princess Kathleene Gabunales

Camouflage

how do you care so much 'bout nothing
you question what you haven't seen yet
letting all doubts crawl up in your head
give a little stare to every move
they're trying, at least
not to make the same mistake again

take it from someone who's been there
trust is not given by hand
as it is needed by everyone
you tell a secret for whom to keep
don't tire yourself in wondering what has been
go with the flow and be a camouflage

like a chameleon
a season
people change habits
a state of mind
it is easy to pretend and put yourself up
being what they wanted you to be

go with a distance
at least a little
show less of everything
slowly surprising them with reality
it is not treachery
but a game played wisely by a master
