Can I Continue
Can I continue making the same mistakes,
Shall I continue just for your sake.
Will you ever see the damage it does,
Can we ever be what we once was.
Everything changes, we all know that is true,
So why the surprise when I say we are through.
I was able to open my eyes,
I was aware of our untold lies.
I looked around and saw no love to be found,
We must start over so we can surround,
Our hearts with the love that was never around.
I hope love wins through in the end. I like your style and it rhymes well. A very good write.

A good steady rhythm throughout this eye-opening, honest poem. Amazing insight, poignant, seeing through the illusion of love and letting it go. Gently heart-wrenching. Will add to my list of favorites. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
