Can'T Stop Me Leaving Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

Can'T Stop Me Leaving

Take me away,
To a valley away.
Take me from here,
To a place I can think.

Let me leave grandmother,
I am not a prisoner of yours.
I hate you grandmother,
You cannot keep me in this place.

I love you grandmother,
But this prison of yours is hell.
See I can't stand this place,
I am leaving now dear lady.

I can't stand the spotless clean,
I can't stand the dreadful food.
I hate the way we live,
I'm off to see my mom.
-
What! How about thinking again,
You mother is a gosh dang hoe.
Don't you dare leave me girl,
You're not allowed to leave.
-
No grandmother, a hoe she's not,
My mother, to her I shall go.
My mother I love her,
And I do need her so.

For she is my dear mother,
I say no she ain't no hoe.
You will not stop my leaving,
To my mother I now go.

An interesting story. The rhymes are just Ok. There aren't all that many. There is a bit of a flow at times but not enough of one. All in all. I would say an average poem with a good story. GW62
