Can You, Can You Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Can You, Can You

Rating: 4.8

Can you, Can you,
maintain this pace
all it takes
is a will like steel
the mind on goal, fixed
Let your body
roar and launch
Shed the minds load,
break the chains,
merge like light
with wind matter less
See yourself
fly and soar
With Mind focused,
direction in compass set
To where the will flows,
arms and limbs will follow
muscles and blood in unison
propel you on course
Being one among,
eager straining millions
When the clock shouts start
keep going, sweat rolling
Being there,
breathing that air
is all that matters
Scream of muscles, drowned
in enthusiastic shrieks,
keep on going
The crunch of bones, lost
as Bodies jostle,
let nothing stop,
nourished by exhilaration,
feet kiss timing pads,
each milestone crossed
bend the curves,
strain the uphills
chorus your ears, the win
Can you, Can you
kiss the red laser ribbon
thoughts unloaded, only image
see self sprawled on finish line

That's a lovely poem indeed. Calling for one and all to get, set, go and achieve their goals: See yourself / fly and / With Mind focused, / muscles and blood in unison /...Can you, Can you / kiss the red laser ribbon
