Cancer Poem by Alyssa George

Cancer

A sickness less rare with each passing day,
Still when one gets it we're all in dismay.

It was so sadening with you being ill,
But it brought us together at our own will.

The terrifying thought of losing family,
Made us charish time together quite happily.

Going through chemo, so much went wrong,
Mom told me they almost burst the tube in your arm.

At such times our heads filled with negative thought,
But on and on, your body fought.

It was a long battle but you made it through,
What would be have done, had we ever lost you?

Sounds like she had a very loving family to see her through it... Alyssa
