Cancer Poem by Tiff Murphy

Cancer

Helpless,
Hopeless,
No control over this situation,
It's up to you,
Be strong,
You have to stay alive for us girls,
You said we'd get through this,
But how can we when you've already thrown in the towel,
I'm not sure I can make it without you,
I don't even want to try,
Just thinking about you being gone makes me want to cry,
Please hold on,
Hold me in your arms like you used to when I was scared or hurt,
Because I'm both right now,
Don't you want to see your grand kids some day?
Don't you want to stay in this life?
If you answered yes to these questions then come back from the dark,
I need you,
Why can't you see?
We have to be strong,
Just so the sickness doesn't win but comes to an end.
