Candle Hope - Poem by voldy rules

Deep inside of me
There was a candle,
Which glowed in my life,
There was a light a hope
Stays always by my side,
Now the candle is melting,
Everything is leaving,
The sky I so far,
As is seems so near,
The ground is falling and
It is so clear,
Watching everything falling
And dying,
Is better than
Watching everything flying
But crying,

    Voldy, I like your poem. It reminds me of a Ronnie Milsap song about burning the candle at both ends except your poem has a more serious tone. Life should be all about having hope. It is depressing when hope fades. Poetry is good therapy for the soul. (Report) Reply
