Cant Escape The Reaper Poem by shaun znideric

darkness falls across the land
the midnight hour's close at hand
the reaper slowly starts to awake
he now drifts across the lake

you may run but he'll still see
and in his eyes you cant be free
into the darkness you run so blind
after all this you may find

you can run and run but not hide
and in the end by his hand you'll die
defend yourself? you know theres no way
your life will end before the light of day

all hope is gone
you'll know he's won
there'll be no end
to hell he'll send

who'd have thought
that its you he'd despise
and this is how
he'd send you to your demise

the problem is it doesnt end here
living eternity in complete fear
never thought that god could strike
i think he is a complete tyke
