Captured Imagination Poem by Marilyn Lott

Captured Imagination

Rating: 5.0

Across the country I’ve seen
Museums and parks of all kinds
You can take all day easily
Viewing amazing art work you find

For people are so talented
And it doesn’t matter the size
They can carve a beast out
Right before our eyes

These folks can look at an item
And see what we can’t see
Put together an exciting object
To display for you and me

Or slap some paint on a canvas
If we did it we’d just have a blob
But they make it so lovely
We could put down our head and sob

Objects of every size and shape
Every color and texture too
Artists can capture our imagination
There’s nothing that someone can’t do!
