Cards Poem by Rebecca Hall

Cards

This world begins to fade
As she
Molds within the shadows
Of her room;

Carefully concealing herself
From the world
Outside her room;

The mask folds
Only in the darkness
Letting herself only see
Who she really is;

If they could see
What would they say?
What would they do?

Playing the cards right
They won’t see her bluff
Her way to the top

its awful that we live in a world where people are so judgement that people question whether or not they can be themselves. its absolutely awful. good job on the poem. very relatable.
