Old age can be very lonely
when no one comes to call,
but when some one says, 'I care'
we are not ready to give up and fall.
Caring is like the arrival of song birds,
and flowers blooming on a Spring day.
A visitation will enlighten a lonely heart,
and will chase hopelessness away.
Two simple and sincere words will mean much
and they are not difficult to say...
It is all right to say, 'I care'
to a lonely and elderly person everyday.
