Carry On Poem by Eden Grey

Carry On

Rating: 5.0

How could I love a man who could not love me back?
Who does not even know what love is nor how to do it?
Do I know what love is? Could it be pain?
Fighting for honor and respect.
The love I know is an empty void in my soul
and a desperate urge to fill it,
or my body will cave in on itself
sucked into that ever expanding black hole in my heart.
Feelings of longing and sorrow,
my burdens pile up around me,
they send me to my knees praying
for a reprieve from this pain.
The endless night is swallowing me whole
S'il te plait, aie petite de moi!
I must carry on.
As my soul crumbles to dust,
the wind picks up.
Can you feel me in the breeze?
blowing that strand of hair into your eyes.
When you brush it aside,
do you think of me?
