Caste System - Poem by Siddhant Sharma

India is the land of democracy,
Not the land of autocracy,
But autocracy is still there,
Law is not believed where.

Caste system is a way,
Used to divide people on their have,
Such as Brahmins, kshatriyas,
Shudras, chandellas and vaishyas.

Brahmins, kshatriyas, vaishyas live an honoured life,
But shudras, chandellas live an honourless life.
It is bad to see shudras in the morn,
Chandellas are not even insane.

In India, caste system is touristy,
Used only by the people dirty,
Who want laws from autocracy,
Not the laws from democracy.

Law is against caste system,
Ban is put on caste system,
But still it is not abolished,
Rather it is being polished.

We have to stop this practice,
Government has given us some tactics.
Equality is becoming touristy,
Opposed by the people dirty.

Elections have equality,
Healthcare has equality,
At offices, there is equality,
At many places, there is equality.

Caste system is a problem, with which we are fighting,
On which in this poem I am writing.
We have to remove this problem and remove autocracy,
And then store democracy.

wonderful effort from a more about the cast system of Bharat... even gandhiji followed the ideas from Gita till 1924... he understood the true essence of Gita from a saint from lower cast... if this is the condition of gandhi, then how about other politicians ans law makers...

Quite a mature and wonderful write up with a purpose from a child of your age. Keep it up. I specially liked:

    Law is against caste system,
Ban is put on caste system,
But still it is not abolished,
    Rather it is being polished.

Siddhant, for your information Indian cast system was authored by Manu. It was a novel and progressive idea of specializing in major vocations of those days to add to the efficiency of the politico-economic system. But it did not evolve with time.

Its rigidity rendered it redundant. The division of labour has become complex and the vocations have multiplied now. Hence, we come across new classes of people which is really the extension of the old caste system, rightly referred by you as polishing of the old system.

One more thing, the caste system in its original form did not look down upon any vocation as a mean one though the functions of each vocation had been well defined and the protocol had been laid down properly for the smooth running of the system and to avoid clashes. The untouchability, which is bad, was a much later development born out of ritualism.

I hope, I have not offended you, lol.

Keep on writing with a purpose. I see a great future Indian in you. (Report) Reply
