Cat Shadow And Her Five Kittens Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Cat Shadow is now the mother of five kittens
Two of them are grey,
One is of yellowish orange
One is as black as charcoal
And one is covered with black and white stripes.
After finishing their dinner,
Five kittens play together under white nightlight
They press on each other to force the weaker lie on the floor.
Several kittens hide under the deck table
Several climb up on the chairs to jump on another cat's back.
They play wrestling for a long while
With soft bites, they hold the opponent's neck
They cross lock their paws and legs.
After playing wrestling, they chase each other
They play hide and seek and a sudden attack.
Shadow keeps her watchful eyes on her kittens
She was happy to see her kittens practice their survival skills
Which will prepare them to take care of themselves
After they depart from her for their independent lives.

MÈO SHADOW, MỘT MẸ NĂM CON

Shadow, một mẹ năm con
Hai con mầu xám, một con cam vàng.
Một con đen thủi như than
Và một con nữa lông vằn trắng đen.
Năm con vui dưới ánh đèn
Sau khi ăn tối, chúng đè nhau ra
Con thì nấp dưới gầm bàn
Con thì leo ghế ôm chầm con kia.
Chúng chơi vật lộn hồi lâu
Khi thì ngoạm cổ, khi gài chân nhau.
Chán vật chúng lại đuổi nhau
Chúng chơi trốn nấp, bất thần tấn công.
Shadow giám thị đàn con
Mẹ thì sung sướng thấy con tập tành
Mai sau con sẽ lìa đàn
Mong rằng con sẽ đủ tài lập thân.
