Cathedral Rock Poem by Les Littleford

Cathedral Rock

Floodlights flatten the rock
enhance its height
cloak surrounding trees
in inky black

The walls take on cathedral stature
soaring to the invisible heavens
wrapped
somehow
in majesty

As we pause
to admire
and reflect
we find ourselves whispering
