Cats, Simple as That
In the moonlight,
Shining bright,
The secrets behind them,
The emotion that they hide,
They know when someone has died,
No one understands.
The darkness of their coat,
They leap, but seem to float,
Lurking through the shadows,
Their ears tuned and ready,
They stalk their prey slow and steady,
It’s killed with a single blow.
Padding through the night,
What a sight,
To their secret meetings,
By day, they sleep,
You’ll never know what secrets they keep,
Just sleeping the day away,
Remember, a cat’s a cat,
Never a dog or a bat,
Cats, simple as that!
