Fictional though spoke with the harsh realities and many truths of the world we live in. A great depiction with lots of thought provoking lines. Nicely done hazel.

As all eyes are glued on models and their tantalizing beauty, they are under constant pressure to keep up the image! Eventually time will bite! It is an inalienable truth! So unless they are able to maintain inner beauty too, they are bound to collapse after a few rounds of cat walk! When the crowd disperses, they retire to their own private griefs! The glamour and the fanfare of a beauty pageant is wonderfully brought out! (Report) Reply

True, this is so applicable to the society in general. You've catched the feeling, really good work!
And all the main moments were established really well. Thanks for the poem) (Report) Reply

A dazzling activity has been captured in words effectively. Lines seem to move on catwalk. It end in a fact: 'eventually time will bite'. (Report) Reply

Until darkness chases us into bed,
Anxiety winding tightly around us all,
We know we have to stand tall,
    Because eventually time will bite,
As we wait nervously for our fall!

    - Excellent. Your use of diction is really noticeable. I like your poem (Report) Reply

Excellent write Hazel, and a fascinating read. Beauty is only skin deep they say, but people seem to have lost sight of inner beauty. The media has a lot to answer for as they continue to perpetrate the need to look beautiful.
Very well written, some great metaphors. (Report) Reply
