Certain People Poem by David Harris

Certain People

Rating: 5.0

There are certain people,
that when they pass away,
leave a gulf within our lives,
nothing can refill.
Their loss brings sorrow,
which hurts our very soul,
it fills our eyes with tears,
and our heart with pain,
that nothing in our lives
will ever feel the same.
Although they are gone,
they are never far away.
Their memories live within us,
until our dying day.

David, I like this piece a lot...It's philosophical edgings dig deep into a theme that every reader can relate to...and that, my friend is the nexus that connects poet to reader, and you have delivered this message with eloquence, and stellar craftsmanship. FjcR

Although they pass away from our sight, they are always with us in spirit. A lovely poem of comfort. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

How certainly true this poem is...because my heart is full of the memories of those I have lost...and will never really lose...
