Chain Of Pearls Poem by Janelle Morehart

Chain Of Pearls

Rating: 5.0

Geniune pearls of the rarest breed
In which human's suffer to even glimpse
Such a rarity pushing them into torment and agony
Maybe that is why pearls are always made into chains
Binding and constricting
Tying us down, holding us back and making it all worse
We all suffer loss, We all suffer betrayl
The pearl so pure that it causes an opposite effect
But as we all can only do
We fight the torment through and through
We beat the agony into the quiet submission
We wear these pearls in a chain about our neck
With a pride and humble happiness
Pain and Agony, Torment and Loss
All are overcome with a powerful love
By those who wear these gems with a strong pride
Live through their pain and never run away
I hope one day
One day soon
That this love, This pure feeling
Will find you too
