Chain Poem 1 Poem by Ferdinand L Quintos

Chain Poem 1

Lotus, the source of wonderment,
the bloom of joy of yore’s mystics,
spread your charm, undo the greed
deep in some men’s mind came to dwell,
let your sweet scent silently seep,
permeate the world with right sense,
efface the thirst, that goes with pelf,
for wild power fraught with evil.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
(A chain poem is like any ordinary poem. However, every line after the first starts with the last letter of the last word of the line it follows. And the last letter of the last word of the last line ends with the first letter of the first word of the first line. There is, thus, no rhyme scheme.)
