Change Poem by Poppa Yao

Change

When they damned us to lives of bile, blood and bone,
When genocides consumed the living and dead pitied unborn,
We still hailed them on.
T'is all we have ever known.

When heroes rose and fought seen but unknown,
When they were hanged for treason against the throne,
We still cheered on.
T'is all we have ever known.

Nothings new! Though the gods be dead decayed and gone,
Though decomposition consume their altars of stone,
We still pray on.
T'is all we have ever known.

Yes indeed, and throw away all the old myths born out of ignorance - the world needs to move on, and many old beliefs discarded in the light of new knowlesge. We know a great deal more now - good write.
