Change

Its true what they say, people change as time passes
I don't know what to say, to my 'friends', now jackasses.
I sit and ponder 'bout thoust thoughts yonder
Glistening beauty, floating and fluttering

'Have at thee', I scream into the darkness
''Have at thee'', is all that's returned
Thick walls, surround me, protecting me
From the fire, for fear of being burned.

I dare not attack you from behind
For I am no animal
But like men at their primal
I aim my problems at you

I do not bark at my reflection
For I am no animal
I instead surrender upon myself

Smiling as I Peel my skin with this blade
What shall I say about this escapade
Changing is not in my blood
As far as I see
