Change Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Change

The now is known. Far out of range
Lock stock and barrel, past is gone
For all is transience and change

Posterity will rearrange
The world, the climate's loaded gun
For all is transience and change

Abbey and cottage, hut and grange
May briefly stand beneath the sun
Beware! All's transience and change

Embrace the whole. We must exchange
Our ways, or we will be undone
Fast. All is transience and change

A sparrow falls, the wood feels strange
Denuded of that little one
Weep! All is transience and change

Pesticides, poisons, can derange
The planet's life. Destruction
Has come with transience and change

The earth stands at the interchange
Survive, or meet oblivion
So swift comes transience and change,
