Changes Poem by Mary E. Fosholdt

Changes

We had a dream, my love and I
That we would live here till we die.
We know not why the change in plans,
Only that God does change a man. He gibes to one to help the other,
Then gibes to each the love of a brother.
His love for us with warmth and care
We leave within this home to share. Its cozy and comfortable, the light just right
With a glowing fire on a dark, cold night
Or a day in spring with wind in your hair
You look to the sky and know God's there. We say farewell to memories dear
And hope our presence will linger near.
May this home be as you desire,
A perfect place when you retire. We leave a prayer with you dear friend,
God's love and grace on you descend.
May you find peace and joy within
Until you go home to be with him.
