Changes Poem by Sarah Child

I walk beside you-
but you walk alone.
I call to you-
but my words fall on deaf ears.
I hold out my hand to you-
but you don’t take it.
I am like a ghost-
invisible.
I see you-
but you don’t see me.
In your shadow I walk-
silent and alone.

Seasons change-
and so do I.

No longer-
do I walk beside you.
No longer-
do I cry out your name.
No longer-
will my invisible hand reach out for you.
No longer-
am I like a ghost.
No longer-
do I see you.
No longer-
do I dwell in your shadow.

I have grown stronger-
and have moved on.

I saw in this poem a rare symbolism.Your existence as a woman is like the existence as a ghost for him.But try to imagine, my dear, how deeply we need to love the soul of our dead persons, even we run away from that....
