Charlie Poem by Rhonda Baker

Charlie

How I see you with your dark brown hair
Out in the yard, in the summer air
Out in the junk, where you love to play
Happy and dirty in your own way
Rock-n-roll songs out of the radio pour
Inside the barn with the open door
How I see you with your dark brown hair
Getting mad, with tools flying through the air
Oh, how I love to see you smile
It’s true I’ve fallen for your guile
How I see you with your dark brown hair
The man I love, whose life I share
