Chasing After Her Poem by Rosalyn Grohol

Chasing After Her

The pieces that she left behind
The scars left on my heart
The memories stuck in my head
Are tearing me apart

I never loved her quite enough
The way that she deserved
And now that she's gone
I really wish, I would have given more

Because she was truly precious
I was just too blind to see
So I took her for granted
I never thought she'd leave

And I just sat back and watched
As she walked out of the door
Even though I knew that in my heart
I should have been, chasing after her.
