Chastisement, The Poem by Chandrashekar a posy poet

Chastisement, The

From the moment
You abandoned me
In search of a space
Serene and soothing
My sacred abode too
turn so insipid

Erstwhile tidy floors,
The alluring furniture
The fetching fixtures
And pleasant paintings
All of them are now
Gathering dust

The enticing sheets
Spread in layers on
Once enchanting bed
now joins the race to
Defy me rest!

Even the Alarm bell
Fails to ring as well
The engaging flowers
Kept in Vase are
Dried and pale

Here is yet another,
naughty Calendar
Who chooses to shun
The days and months
And the clock affixed atop
Tells the tale in detail

The devious Windows
Detest opening up,
So the curious Curtains
Getting weary to move

The solid Walls
Meant to protect me
From rain, shine and chill
Are now singing
The songs of blues

The captivating Ceiling
Turns sudden devilish
Oh, such a sweet dwelling
Once it was and now turned
The hell of battle!

Since, my love you are
Never mine any more
So is the damn place
Mine no more
