Checkered Poem by Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Checkered

Rating: 5.0

There is a chessboard
I’m not playing the game; it’s more like my life, my fate
Two pawns are left in the diversion; red and black are the pieces
The problem is, I don’t know which direction to go in
If I go that way, I might not be playing anymore
But the other path gets confusing, too
Which trail should I go ahead and choose?

I love two different people; they are both unique in their own way
Should I just stop right here and now, or should I stay?
Everything is so bewildered and difficult right now
Maybe I could solve this, but how?
