Cherish Children Poem by Jim O'Donnell

Cherish Children

Children aren’t they just a treat
The things they do are oh so sweet
They make us laugh they make us cry
I love them all till the day I die

Those dirty nappies and snotty nose
How many time did you tickle toes
The first words I bet you all recall
Including the first step they took and all

They bumps on head and the cut on skin
How many time you looked after them
Cherish these days they don’t last long
They will soon be married and soon be gone
