The years that passed
The friends we made
The memories so clear
And lasting sublimely
Every now and then
A reflection and a smile
Brings to mind the faces
Those special moments
And the thought lingers
Friends we’ve cherished
Without their knowing
And now years passed
And a tingle in my heart
Affirms even more, that
Indeed, they are special.
Yet we hardly ever note
The impact we make now
May last for a lifetime
Just a hug, a smile, a hello
A simple note or an email
May revive another’s life
Quicken an injured soul
And comfort the heart
Even many years later
The memory still fresh
