Child's Lullaby Poem by miranda shaffer

Child's Lullaby

Rain pouring down from my cheeks
Sobbing tries to take a peak
Lightning strikes
FIlled with fright
Mother is gone
Tired eyes
Soft and quiet yawn
Angel's voice
Devil's choice
Candy Canes
Cars and planes
Nightmares take the pain away
What's left to drain anyway
Rose petals flying
Sweet dreams finally dieing
Back to cold reality
Back to the voice that sings
It hurts so much
It stings
So beautiful I want to cry
Mother why do I even try?
Can't bare you delicate voice no more
So excellent I have no choice
Cradle swings
Grows wings
Mother a beautiful Angel you are
But cruel devil I am
Sorry I must drag you to hell
Be quiet
I wasn't suppose to tell
The melody hurts
I've heard it so much
If I touch it might break
Rattled new earth quake
Fires open gates of death
Darkness surronds all life
Hands drag the angel in
Fluffy wings of white
Cut of by a black sharp knife
Laughing there enjoying every moment of your aching pain
Huh? Can't remember my name
Oh well
Enjoying this hell
She can feel what I felt
Waking up everyday
From the sad cries of the
Child's Lullaby
