Childhood Poem by Surya S Kumar

Childhood

Rating: 4.5

Lost it somewhere along the road of age
The innocence and playfulness of childhood
The childish fantasies and the fairy dreams
The silly fights for trivial things.

Gone are the days of unbounded joy
With none to measure your walk or talks.
With laughter that echoed the joy of a light heart
And the grief flowing freely unrefined.

Time has swept over a tremendous change
With held back laughter and tears
Constricting a heavy heart.
Time has taught the magic
Of hiding the feelings
Within the hollowness of a smile.
