Childhood
Oh! My dear childhood!
I can never forget the day
When you came to me
Your soft footsteps
makes me feel elated
your soft tender touch
makes me feel excited
with much tenderness
you hold my fingers
and slowly
I put my first footstep
world's sweetest word ma-ma
I learnt from you
I clapped and giggle
From a distance
you Smiled at me
but when I wanted to come nearer
I didn't know
Why you went
far and far away?

but when I wanted to come nearer I didn't know Why you went far and far away? The tragedy...the separation from the most loved.. the pain, so beautifully expressed. The poem gives a sense of first rains after the hot summer days. Thanks poetess. You are going to excel in this art of poetry. 10++++ for it. Regards. Subhas
