interesting on several accounts. i tend to point out things to poets which seem wrong or odd to me in a poem. did you know that one of your lines does NOT start with a capital letter? on purpose? Your perspective alone, Could make or break your day. i like that you don't shy from using different numbers of lines in some of your stanzas; i do that once in a great while. yes, perspective could make or break a day, so to speak, but who always has control over their perspective? ? with rain, being a drought-stricken farmer or gardener could affect ones perspective! sure enough.......not too much rain at once please. in part of the poem it seems to be implied, if not said, that rain is a downer, but towards the end i think you are saying that you like it, along with chocolates. or at least whoever is 'speaking' enjoys it [impressive scenery? ]. thanks for sharing. bri :)

I was drawn by the title to want to read this poem. It's a surprising and provocative pairing because the words are so far apart but we can sense the poem is going to connect them for us. And it does - and along the way pulls in other connections. I think the key line is THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO IS HEAVENLY TO ME. I sensed that combination in blue drops with the blending of rain/tear drops, color/climate, outer/inner weather. You can say anything you want about these things, because the poetry is there in your perception they belong together. I also liked the parallel statement: SWEET CHOCOLATE/BITTER RAIN. But what if you added a stanza dealing with BITTER CHOCOLATE/SWEET RAIN? That could be another heavenly combination.
