Chocolate Eyes Poem by Emmanuel Tsoutsas

Chocolate Eyes

Your chocolate eyes,
Your straight short hair,
Your perfect smile,
Make you the prettiest girl.

You walk in the room,
And everyone stares.
You speak to me,
And my heart melts.

The way you move,
The way you dress,
The way you talk,
Leave me speechless.

Oh, God, I hope
I get the chance,
To make her mine.
To hold her hand.

And if my Lord,
She's not the one,
Well I pray again…
Your will be done.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Love knocked on my door. I let her in. Before the break of dawn she had left. She never said goodbye!
